Vampire Support’s Current Mission:
Raise awareness about the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico by putting together miscellaneous projects to encourage the world's youth to speak up for causes they believe in. All proceeds will go towards helping with the relief efforts. The vampire phenomenon has many fandoms and we believe every one of them can come together in a collaborative effort to help out with the Gulf crisis.

Donation Update and Chicago Trip

Michael tweeted, "Thanks to my friend @TVD_Chloe McQueen and I are representing our Vampire Fans Support Gulf Aid wristbands."
Hey supporters! We thought it was time to update you on some of our donations and how much money we've raised. Here's a rough breakdown of how much money has been raised and which foundations it's been donated too. But first, we wanted to let you know that we are still selling "Vampire Fans Support Gulf Aid" bracelets! Check out this picture and video of Michael Trevino and Steven R. McQueen of The Vampire Diaries representing Vampire Support! I, (Chloe), hung out with them after their Hot Topic signing in Chicago and they are more than incredible. (Pay close attention in the video. Steven is "fiddling" with the bracelet. Ha!) Thanks guys! Click here to purchase a bracelet!

$414 - The Gulf Restoration Network
(This was originally to be donated to,
but we never heard a response back from them and had to switch
foundations for the best and most efficient way to use the money!)

$500 - National Wildlife Federation

This is absolutely incredible. Thank you to everyone who purchased a shirt, bracelet, or contributed to the auction. Also, thank you so much for voting for us in the Pepsi Refresh Project "Do Good For The Gulf", we couldn't have received the grant without each and every one of your votes. Just today we donated $500 to NWF, and $100 to The Gulf Restoration Network. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are making a difference. Stay tuned for more of our upcoming projects!Oh no, we're not even close to being done! ;)

Ian Somerhalder's Foundation

Ian Somerhalder, who we all know is passionate about the environment, energy, and animals, is very, VERY close to launching his own foundation. And guess what? He's asked us over at Vampire Support to help him out! The foundation will be a very open source. He's excited about being able to connect with his fans on a more personal level, inspiring their actions, and finding ways in which we can all work together. Can you imagine working with Ian towards making a difference? Also, Ian has the biggest birthday wish ever coming out soon. So many people send Ian gifts for his birthday, but this year, the best gift he could ask for would be the ability to make a difference! Funds raised with his birthday fund raising drive will go into the foundations fund pool, that will inevitably go to projects making a difference. The best part? One of those projects could be yours! Getting involved and working with Ian as apart of the team, we'll be looking for Bloggers, editors, artists, etc. Make sure to keep checking back for more information. Bring your passion and skills! -The Vampire Support Team

Winner of the Signed Script!

Meet Rebecca Davis, she's 26 and from Georgia! I (Amber) happen to only live about 80 miles from her, so i was able to hand deliver the script to her, and thank her in person for her amazing contribution to the cause. She was a COMPLETE sweetheart! After giving her the script she sat down with me at a local starbucks, i finished off my coffee and did a small interview with her.

Amber- How do you feel now that you have the script?

Rebecca- "It feels pretty awesome"

Amber- How did you get into The Vampire Diaries?

Rebecca- "I read the books a long time ago. Then I saw an advertisement, so I watched it, liked it and got hooked"

Amber- How did you hear about Vampire Support?

Rebecca- "Through I work so much its nice to have one site like that I can get the news from, because I don't have time to Google everything"

Amber- Were you expecting the script to go so high?

Rebecca- "I don't know. I fully expected over $1,000, I had set my limit at $1,500, but then [as it went up] I said "what the hell" and went for it. I think I would of stopped at $3,000 though!"

Amber- Are you happy with your purchase and the choice of charity?

Rebecca- "Yes, yes. When you pay that much for something autographed, its nice to go to something good and not in someone's pocket."

I also asked her if she had any additional comments and when she got home after out meeting I received a delightful little email from her, and this is what she had to say!

Rebecca- "Hey Amber!  It was so great to meet you and your sister tonight. Thanks so much for hand delivering the script!  I've been looking through it and could not be happier with the purchase. When you asked me if I had any other comments, my mind kind of went blank. Lol. But, I meant to tell you that I think it's so awesome what you and Chloe are doing for the Gulf.  And mad props to the cast and crew for being so nice to the fans; it does not go unnoticed.  I guess it's just really nice to find a show  that consistently brings its A-game and I can always count on TVD to take my mind off things for an hour each week.  (I work in a high stress environment, where I see a lot of illness, addiction and death.  It's nice to escape to Mystic Falls every Thursday for a bit)"

So that's Rebecca! Thank you again so much for your high bid on this, and what you did for the National Wildlife Federation. Enjoy your script, it is quite the gem to have. I enjoyed meeting you today as well, and I will never forget your kindness and help in our efforts for the Gulf.

Rebecca with the Script!

Amber and Rebecca with the Script!

 Rebecca and Caroline!
Rebecca has been able to visit Mystic Falls in the past, she sent me this and i wanted to include it on here!

Ian Somerhalder/Candice Accola Support Vampire Support! (Thanks!)

Brannan with Ian. Ian is wearing one or our support bracelets, he also is holding a bag full of bracelets to give to the cast!

Ian Somerhalder signing one of our Vampire Support shirts for our auction! (You can also see him wearing an awareness bracelet!)
Candice Accola signing our Vampire Support shirt for the auction!
Another shot of Ian looking at the shirt. (Still wearing the bracelet xD)
Our friends Jessica and Brannan over at were lucky enough to visit the set of The Vampire Diaries this past week. While on set, they gave Ian Somerhalder some of our awareness bracelets and also got him and Candice Accola to sign one of our shirts to auction off! This is what Jess had to say about her encounter with Ian, "Ian was so cool he put the bracelet right on and said that he was gonna "pimp out" the rest of them that I gave him for the cast. Ian said he was so happy about what Chloe and Amber had started with Vampire Support. He also stated that he wanted to help in some way but that he had been so busy, I told him that was completely understandable and that we were going to auction off a Vampire Support shirt and would he mind signing it for us. Of course he had no problem signing it." So cool! Thanks ladies! FYI, we just ordered another batch of bracelets! Keep ordering them! Also, check out these tweets from Ian himself about the bracelets and the auction!

Make sure to check out for the whole story about the set visit! Check out the post here!

Special Thanks!

The vampire support team would like to give a special thank you for an organization called "R.A.W.R." aka Raising Awareness With Rock. They made a special donation to us and our efforts in the gulf. Their donation will help us continue our efforts, and help us see further projects in the future come to life! Please check them out here:   and help spread the word for their causes too.

Please remember that everyones donations big and small along with the feedback is important. None of this could be possible without the funds we have received and word of mouth to assure this little dream of making a difference came to life. Everyone who has supported us in these efforts is just as much a part of vampire support as we are. Thank you again so much!

Vlog: Auction Update

Seriously, why does Youtube HATE ME? Worst thumbnails EVER.

National Wildlife Federation:

Speak Up For Those Who Can't

Written by Chloe Dawn

Early this morning, I checked my Youtube page and saw that The National Wildlife Federation had posted a new PSA. Being the avid supported of NWF that I am, I clicked on it, unaware of the affects that this one video would have on me. The video starts out with a woman waking up in her bed, clean, happy, and healthy to be alive. In a flash, her world is turned upside down. She realizes there is oil on her hand, leaking from her shower, coming from her mouth, and destroying her once beautiful life. The part that caused me to start crying (yes this made me cry...a lot of these videos and articles tend to do that) was when she was laying in her once pure white cotton sheets, choking in oil. Wildlife on the coast are going through this on a daily basis. This is EXACTLY why I started Vampire Support. If this doesn't make your heart bleed for the animals that don't have a voice...I don't know what will. I'm yearning to help all of the animals, and sadly I can't. But what I can do is fight. Fight for their lives. I encourage you to do the same. Please take 30 seconds of your time to watch the video posted above. It will severely change your output on the situation. I am so happy to be working with NWF for the auction to raise money for animals that are put into the same situation the lady is in, if not worse. Make a difference. Speak up for those who can't.

Please watch this informative video about how NWF is helping with the Gulf crisis.

Vampire Support has been in contact with The National Wildlife Federation. We have decided to change our donations for the auction from to The NWF. We have tried to come in contact with several different ways (and times) over the past couple of weeks with no response. The National Wildlife Federation is our best option in moving forward in an efficient and timely matter. They are aware of the auction and have been very helpful in providing our audience with the information they need. The auction will be linked to NWF's eBay account, which is registered as a non-profit. It is set up and can be designated as a charity recipient for OUR auction. That way there is NO legal issues and you can be 100% certain that your money will be donated to them. The National Wildlife Federation has been on the front lines responding to the wildlife crisis unfolding in the Gulf since the BP Oil Spill started on April 20. Please click here for more information on how the money raised from Vampire Support's auction will be put to use. The auction date has NOT been set yet. We are still waiting to receive items from varies vampire fandoms and are awaiting more information from NWF. Thank you for your understanding and support. Stay tuned for more information on the auction as we receive it by following us on Twitter.

FAQ's Regarding Shirts, Auction, and More!

Thanks to The National Wildlife Federation for this picture.

We've recently received a lot of questions regarding the items up for auction, as well as the change of charities! Please read below for a question you may have. Missing something? Email us at or leave a comment and we will add it! Thank you all again for the support!

Q: How will we bid on the items?
A: There will be a special charity auction hosted on eBay.

Q: When is the auction?
A: The date for the auction is TBA. As soon as a date is set we promise to let everyone know right away.

Q: Where is the money raised from the auction going?
A: The National Wildlife Federation will receive the money from the auctions. You can view their efforts in the gulf here:

Q: How can you guarantee my money is going to The National Wildlife Federation?
A: We can provide the proper documentations to assure that money is going to NWF. Also NWF will be hosting the auction through their charity eBay account.

Q: Can we bid on an item if we live outside of the United States?
A: Yes. The auctions will be made available for international bidders. An eBay account will be required.

Q: Will I have to pay for shipping and handling if I bid on an item?
A: Yes. Shipping prices have not been decided and will be slightly higher for international shipping.

Q: Why did you change donations from going to to NWF?
A: The donations for the t-shirts are going to continue to be given to Gulf Aid. We decided that expanding charities and helping more than one organization was the better route to take. NWF is strictly animals and it was an agreed decision to choose a charity that was designed for one cause.

Q: Are you affiliated with any of the actors/writers/etc. donating items?
A: No. Vampire Support is not endorsed by any of the vampire fandoms or actors donating to Vampire Support's charity events, videos, shirts, etc.

Q: What items do you have?
A: Vampire Diaries pilot script signed by ENTIRE cast.
Vampire Diaries poster signed by Paul, Nina and Ian.
More items TBA.

Q: How do I know the autograph script and poster
from the TVD cast is real?
A: These items were donated to Vampire Support by a representative of the CW network.

Q: When will the bracelets be on sale?
A: We have ordered awareness bracelets. They are black with red print and say "Vampire Fans Support Gulf Aid." Estimated sale of bracelets will begin July 28th. The price is $5 a bracelet You will also have the option of getting 3 bracelets for $10. You will be able to pay through PayPal. We will mail them internationally.

Q: Do the Vampire Support t-shirts ship worldwide?
A: Yes. International shipping is slightly higher.
You can purchase a shirt here

Q: Did Julie Plec really send you the items?
A: Yes! Thanks Julie! :)

Q: Can I make a donation without buying an Item?
A: Yes, and we encourage you to do so! Research what efforts you would like your money to go towards and decide the amount you would like to donate. The cause it's what's important! If you are having trouble finding a reliable organization, please take a look at our links at the top of our website!

Thanks for everything! We really appreciate it. More info coming soon. Stay tuned and keep spreading awareness on the Gulf crises. Follow us on Twitter for updates on the oil spill and more!
